- Shelby County used a 15-0 run in the fourth quarter to break open a close game. Coty Minnis led the Rockets with 25 points (on 11-for-14 shooting) and 10 rebounds. The winners shot 54% and outrebounded Lincoln County 37-14. Cache Tomlison had 12 points and Nigel Beach added 11 for Shelby County. Ryan Young and Daniel Ralston had 14 points apiece for the Patriots.

- Shelby County saw its lead shrink to 41-37 early in the fourth quarter, but it has answered with a 15-0 run to take a 56-37 lead with three minutes left. The Rockets will play Hazard in Friday’s quarterfinals.
- Shelby County is on top 41-34 going into the fourth quarter. Coty Minnis has hit 9 of 12 shots and has 19 points and 8 rebounds. Lincoln County still hasn’t found its three-point eye — the Patriots are 3-for-18 from long range. They only have 6 turnovers.
- Approaching the midway point of the third quarter, Shelby County leads 35-25. Lincoln County had a 6-0 run to cut the deficit to 5, but the Rockets have extended their lead again. Coty Minnis has 15 points. Ryan Young has 10 for Lincoln County.
- Halftime: Shelby County 23, Lincoln County 15. The Rockets haven’t played great, but they’ve played better than Lincoln County which is shooting 7-for-22 (32%) and only 1-for-13 on threes. Coty Minnis has 9 points and 4 rebounds to lead Shelby County. The Rockets are winning the battle of the boards 19-10. Ryan Young has 8 points for Lincoln County. He’s 4-for-8 shooting. His teammates are 3-for-14.
- Coty Minnis has 9 points in helping Shelby County build a 19-10 lead early in the second quarter. Lincoln County, which is in the tournament for the second year in a row, is having trouble finding the basket. The Patriots are 5-for-16 overall, and 0-for-9 on threes. Ryan Young leads them with six points.
- Shelby County is ahead 11-6 with two minutes left in the first quarter. Five Rockets have already scored. Lincoln County is 0-for-7 from three-point range. Ryan Young has 4 points for the Patriots, who are 3-for-12 overall. Among the Shelby County fans is former Rocket and UK player Mike Casey, who’s two rows behind the bench.
