• This one belonged to Tilghman from the get-go. The Blue Tornado blew out to a 22-9 lead in the first quarter and Greenwood never recovered. Bryon Wright led the winners with 23 points. Big guys Isaac McClure and Stefon Perry combined for 29 points and 24 rebounds. Greenwood was led by J.J. Smith’s 15 points and Brett Barrick’s 12. The Gators shot 17-for-62 (27%), including 5-for-24 on threes.
• Going into the fourth quarter Tilghman leads 58-35. Bryon Wright has 19 points, while big men Isaac McClure and Stefon Perry have combined for 24 points and 19 rebounds. Greenwood is shooting 28 percent.
• Greenwood fell behind by 23 early in the third quarter, and the margin is 20 (48-2 with three minutes left in the period. Stefon Perry has 12 points and 9 rebounds for the Blue Tornado. Isaac McClure has 8 points and 9 boards.
• Halftime: Paducah Tilghman 39, Greenwood 18. The Blue Tornado have been impressive. The 1st Region champs have hit 16 of 30 shots (50%), forced eight turnovers and limited Greenwood to 6-for-25 shooting (24%). Bryon Wright has 15 points, including 2 of 3 on threes, to lead Tilghman.
• Greenwood has been hit by a Blue Tornado. Paducah Tilghman has built a 37-18 lead with three minutes left in the half.
• Paducah Tilghman leads 22-9 after one quarter. Bryon Wright’s 7 points lead the Blue Tornado, whose quick-handed defense is giving Greenwood headaches. The Gators have 5 turnovers and they’ve missed 7 of 10 shots. Tilghman has hit 9 of 14 shots, including 2 of 3 three-pointers.
